I freeze the butter in chunks, and mix it with the flour in the food processor. I generally cut salt in many recipes. Half and half can easily be 1% or even buttermilk. Biscuits take well to herbs like dill, thyme, rosemary, chives, etc. Nuts are also not bad (small pieces). The spices in side note are around what I like best for spice. Sweet potato can be microwaved or grilled for more flavour.

I always make a double batch now, because they just don't last, especially warm out of the oven. :mmm:
