If anyone on her is a Sirius XM customer do not pay full price. This is the third time I was able to get the year for half off.

Just call and say you're going to cancel unless you can get a better price and they'll start making a few lower offers... keep insisting on cancelling until you get a number that works for you. I know people who have gotten it even cheaper but I'm OK with 50% off. I also got free internet listening for a year too this time. I just called and said I'm cancelling unless I get the price I had last year and it was much easier.

I don't know how much 50% off works out to be, but this is my 3rd year renewing at $75/year for the first radio and $50/year for the second. Free internet listening for the first 2 years, forgot to get them to throw it in this year though :x

It came to $89 for the year and they threw in the internet service too.

Justin, they have just merged their customer service into one system so I don't think Howard would be extra now. Might be worth calling to check out. He's one of the reasons why I renew.. that and the Mad Dog Channel for my sports fix.

A relative of mine works at the Sirius call centre in Glace Bay. It is true, just call up and flip out at them...you will get a lower price. Kind of sad they choose to do business that way. This philosophy works with Bell too.

I've done this for years. They've only called me on it once, cancelled me and then a few weeks later I got a call offering me a deal to come back.

You don't have to flip out on them or anything, I just usually say I really like it, but it's more than I want to pay for it so I want to cancel.

That's good to know...when I got my new truck in the summer, they couldn't even transfer my remaining balance over to my new XM account
