Painting keggerator?

I have a freezer that has been converted into a keggerator. Has anyone painted appliances before? I want to pain this black. Can't use spray paint as I don't have an area where this would be possible. I've seen epoxy appliance paint but it only comes in white. Any suggestions?

My keezer is spray painted black. Just used appliance paint as well.

Not sure you'd be able to get consistent coverage without brush strokes. Spraying may be the only way to get a decent finish.

Thanks. I'll see if they come in other colors.

you could use a small foam roller, but there would still somewhat of a dimply finish if you looked closeup. You'll have to weigh that against your personal ability to spray on a consistent finish. The only tip I can give is to keep the can about 12" inches away, go slow, and don't try to put too much on at one time. You'll probably need a few coats to make it looked completely covered.

Yup, took me at least 4 light coats to get nice even coverage.

Check out tremclad hammertone paint, its widely available and It comes in regular and spray cans. It has a uneven finish and hides imperfections, I did my brewstand and control panel in it (spray) and it turned out pretty good.

I tried both spray and roller. I ended up with a better finish with a roller, but of course close up you can tell how it was painted.

Nice I'll try this out. I used tremclad before but mostly for outside stuff.

One of those small foam rollers would probably work pretty good.

One of these:

The ones with rounded ends are easier to use than the ones with square ends. The ones with square ends tend to leave stripes if you push too hard.
