Synopsis
American Hustle tells the story of brilliant con man Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale) who, along with his equally cunning and seductive British partner Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams), is forced to work for a wild FBI agent, Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper). DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia that’s as dangerous as it is enchanting. Jeremy Renner is Carmine Polito, the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator caught between the con artists and Feds. Irving’s unpredictable wife Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence) could be the one to pull the thread that brings the entire world crashing down. Like David O. Russell’s previous films, American Hustle defies genre, hinging on raw emotion and life-and-death stakes.

Re: What's On At The Movies
I was taken to see the Hobbit/Lord of the Ring thing last week. The next fucking person that tells me you need to read the books to understand the movie gets a punch in the throat.
Too loud, theater was too small (my retina may never be the same)and I still don't understand what was going on.

We took our 4 year old to the now Cineplex in New Minas, to see a dinosaur movie last weekend. We had to leave after 5 mins and get our money back. It was so loud our bodies were rattling in our chairs and he couldn’t take it. Is it a Cineplex thing? The movie last night was ok.
I stayed clear of he Hobbit.

Re: What's On At The Movies
We went to see Wolf of Wall Street on Saturday and the sound seemed to drop out completely several times
I think they turn the sound up to drown out problems with the soundtrack or equipment. The industry has moved away from employing fulltime projectionists in many markets in favour of training their managers to act in dual capacity of manager and projectionist to save money. Many cinemas are now digital and there's no need for a projectionist to splice the reels together anymore. The result is people are now trained to press the play button, check focus and walk away to go sell popcorn.

This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Re: What's On At The Movies
Again great film from polish history, very controversive and brutal - "Wołyń". Premiere was 07.10, on Ukraine stopped premiere.
Film is about Wołyń (Volhynia) slaughter, fact during communist years nobody speaking, in last years to nobody speaking because it can be damage polish-ukrainian partnership
I think that in Canada it is unknown part of history, is in short film

In Poland this film make a nr 1 of box office in cinemas, win with another popular hollywod production
