3:42 PM AST Tuesday 09 December 2014
Rainfall warning in effect for:
•Kings County

Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

An area of low pressure will deepen as it approaches the Maritimes this evening. Rain, heavy at times, will develop over western regions this evening then spread eastward overnight. Total rainfall amounts of up to 100 mm are possible by dawn Thursday.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

Rainfall Warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
Looks like heavy rain and strong winds right through until Thursday ..."pissing with rain and blowing like fuck"

I woke up this morning at 5.50 am to the radio alarm with some pretentious, self-obsessed, radio chat people, practically having orgasms at the sound of their own voices, waffling on about a huge wind and rain storm coming tomorrow and continuing through Christmas day. It’s supposed to be an ice storm here in the valley and in New Brunswick.

Looks like it might be beer and cheese sandwiches for X-Mas dinner …and I have some rather nice Stilton and Cheshire cheese and a jar of pickled walnuts to go with, couple of kegs of “Three” in the keezer too.

Fireplace won't be on Keith. That's because Santa is coming and I think he might have a refractometer.

Special weather statement in effect for:
•Kings County

Winter storm expected on Sunday.

An intensifying low pressure system will track towards the Maritimes on Sunday. Latest indications still suggest that snow will begin Sunday morning and then change through ice pellets or freezing rain and then to rain later in the day. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 centimetres are possible before the changeover to rain. Strong southeasterly winds will also accompany this system.

Another Major weather system will impact Nova Scotia on Tuesday. Most of the province will see significant amounts of snow accompanied by very strong winds. Late in the day regions along the Atlantic coast could see rain as well. Some of these impacts may carry over into Wednesday as the system tracks very slowly through the region.

Of all the ways to describe halifax, winter hardened , is not one I'd use.

I noticed that too and thought wow they can't get tomorrow's right but next summer on the 12th of August it will rain...

The plow is all hooked up to the ATV and I'm ready for tomorrow's storm. They are calling for gusts of up to 80km/hr here but it looks like you guys on coastal NS will get gusts up to 110km/hr. Needless to say, visibility will be nil. Everyone stay safe.

One of the few things that makes working from home shitty, no storm days off (unless the power's out) and still have to plow the damn driveway.
