My truck is in need of some serious detailing. I've tried my hardest to avoid swirl marks in my paint - but they are there anyway.

Is there any way to get rid of them, and how to I prevent them? I HATE swirl marks.

Jimmy, I have a P&C random orbital polisher with lots of Optimum/Klasses compounds and pads.

The vast majority of paint imperfections are caused by poor washing/drying habits. Examples would be using a sponge or anything cotton to wash your car, drying it with a cotton towel. I've got some pretty good info on my website if you want to take a read. http://www.prestigeautodetail.ca/faqs.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As for removing the swirl marks, it's no problem at all. As long as they aren't past the clear coat, they can definitely be removed. :)
