As someone who's been in a large share of hockey scraps—it's like any other competitive sport, there's often a lot of shit talk that leads up to games, especially games between teams that are so close geographically. Don't forget the warm-up before the game as well, there's a lot of shit talk that happens between guys at centre ice while they're waiting around for 2 on 1's etc.

I get that. Just my 2 cents that I don't like the staged "you wanna go? who wants to go? you're going to go? Okay, when the puck drops" 3,2,1 and scene.

Yeah, I totally get that too. But when your pay cheque depends on you beating the face off someone, it makes it a bit easier to justify.
