I agree with you that the Colts have no shot at winning the Super Bowl this year. But without Luck, they probably win 6 games at best this year as their DST and running game are both awful.

I am a Colts fan and I would say calling their Defense and running came awful is a compliment.

Packers to Put Heaters on Top of Beer Towers

http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-Spor ... rs-Heaters" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Sunday's NFC Wildcard game between the Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay is expected to be one of the coldest games in NFL history, and the Packers will accommodate their fans by installing hundreds of heaters on beer towers to ensure that the adult beverages at Lambeau Field do not freeze.

According to NBC26 in Green Bay, beer has frozen in some previous games at Lambeau Field, and the Packers are trying to ensure that that will not happen in a playoff game. Packers fans in the past have put beer on grills in the parking lot of the stadium.

The Midwest is bracing for deadly cold temperatures, and a wind chill effect for the Green Bay region goes into effect at around 7 p.m., two hours after the game starts. Temperatures in Green Bay may reach 15 to 30 degrees below zero in the evening with the wind chill factor.

The Philadelphia Eagles have already determined the Super Bowl winner, if you believe in cosmic messages like”Kennedy was Lincoln’s secretary and Lincoln was Kennedy’s secretary.” The last four Super Bowl winners have faced the Eagles in their Lincoln Field opener each season. (That would be the Saints of 2009, the Packers of 2010, the Giants of 2011 and last season’s Ravens.) Who did the Eagles play in their home opener this season?

The Chargers.

As if that weren’t enough, there may also be a Redskins Factor to consider. Washington has played the eventual Super Bowl winner each of the last seven years, with the Redskins winning the last three. The Redskins faced one playoff team this season and won 30-24.

The Chargers.

That is a very interesting coincidence giving the under dog nature of the 2010 Packers (6th seed), 2011 Giants (won a weak division, had to beat GB and SF on the road), 2012 Ravens (won a weak division and had to beat DEN and NE on the road). I can't give any credit to the author for the 2009 Saints, as they were a powerhouse that year and hammered the Eagles in week 2 when Donovan McFlabb was at the helm in Philly.

However, I am telling myself that the Chargers have no shot at beating Manning and the Broncos, then Brady and the Patriots and then any of the NFC teams that may win the conference. I am sure I thought that exact same thing about the Packers, Giants and Ravens.......my team is playing golf, so I may be turning into a Chargers fan......if Rivers wasn't such a douche.

I'm sure I would hate him too if he wasn't a Charger. They have a pretty good record against Peyton in the playoffs, the old powerhouse Indy teams.

Ric Flair won't attend playoff game

http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2013/st ... a-panthers" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Professional wrestling legend Ric Flair issued a statement Thursday saying he will not attend Sunday's NFC playoff game between the Carolina Panthers and San Francisco 49ers.

Panthers officials said they were not aware that Flair, who reportedly has moved from Charlotte to Atlanta, had been invited.

Ric Flair, a former Charlotte resident, riled Panthers players by accepting an invitation to address the 49ers before San Francisco's playoff opener against Green Bay.

Flair became embroiled in controversy between the teams last weekend by traveling to Wisconsin to give the 49ers a pep talk before their wild-card game against the Green Bay Packers. Flair, who lived in Charlotte from the early 1970s until recently, went so far as to say his "heart is with the 49ers all the way to the end.''

This came several days after it became public that the Panthers have been using Flair's famous "WOOOOOOO'' chant as part of their locker room celebration after wins. Cornerback Drayton Florence, who began the chant with the defensive backs early in the season, said he wanted to invite Flair to speak to the team before Sunday's game.

Florence, cornerback Captain Munnerlyn and safety Mike Mitchell also taped a video of them shouting "WOOOOOOO" to play on the stadium Jumbotron.

That was before they learned that Flair had gone to Green Bay to meet with the 49ers before the game.

Melinda Morris Zanoni, Flair's agent at Legacy Talent and Entertainment, said the WWE asked Flair to fly to Wisconsin to meet with the 49ers. She noted that the WWE is hosting WrestleMania XXXI in San Francisco in 2015 and that Flair is friends with players on the 49ers, Packers and Panthers.

Said Flair, "What can I say? I've always been a very good heel.''

Flair once wrestled with former Carolina linebacker Kevin Greene and was a regular at Panthers home games. The team used to put his "WOOOOOOO'' chant on the scoreboard to spark the crowd.

That ended years ago after Flair had several well-publicized legal disputes.

Receiver Steve Smith, who has a Flair robe he bought at a charity auction, told the Charlotte Observer this week he was "real disappointed'' in seeing Flair had spoken to the 49ers.

"I'm not sure if he'll get the invite here,'' Smith told the newspaper. "That Golden Gate Bridge has been burned.''

On his Facebook page, Flair posted: "To be the team, you gotta beat the team! Congrats to the Carolina Panthers on their win last night! Steve Smith isn't the man to mess with! WOOOOO!''

Carolina officials were not aware of whether the player video of the "WOOOOOOO" would be used at the game. San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh suggested Wednesday that Flair could cheer for both teams.

"What's the matter with having two favorite teams? Is that a crime?" Harbaugh told reporters in the Bay Area. "My opinion would be that it doesn't make you a bad person to have two favorite football teams."

Well this news is definitely disappointing. However despite the controversy, as always I will still yell his patented "HOOOOO!!!!!!!" after every hop addition during my boil this weekend.

"To be the man, you've got to beat the man....HOOOOO!!!!"

Two comments.

1. Andrew Luck really stares down receivers. This is bad.

2. This is bad.

Smart marketing and basically free, unlike what Bud Light would have had to pay Manning for mentioning their beer.

He got ripped pretty good for that comment by Broncos fans on their forum lol.

Did anyone watch the Fox pregame Sunday? The Rob Riggle intro was funny, making fun of various fans. As in Seattle - 'Let's watch the game with a craft beer with pumpkin or some other crap in it." lol

Can some of you Coloradans please introduce Peyton to real Colorado beer?
