The wind is picking up on this side of the pass, but I haven't seen a flake yet.
Gas for the generator (and snow blower when the time comes), 2 semi-full kegs + misc bottles and a bottle of scotch. I think I'm ready.

Just at Maritime Wine and Beer and the roads are shit. It is worse than it looks.
You know it's bad when the NSLC is closed.

Just got home after fetching Keely from work in Kentville. Roads are total crap in the Valley, as is visibility. Couldn't see more than a car length in front of me the entire time, couldn't see where the road was, and even my little tank of a car had a rough time in some spots -- snow rumbling against the bottom of the car most of the way and we started getting almost stuck periodically just as we got home. Happy to be home safe.

My office closed shortly before noon. The snow is starting to pile up now. Still not more than a couple cm, but my wife just left for her night shift (7pm tonight). Better for her to sit around the hospital bored for 5 hours than risking the drive later in the day.

Staying home and drinking beer as per your instructions.

Cooped up with the wife and kids. Half tempted to have a couple beers and go against my diet.

Quite a bit of snow down in Truro. Visibility is shit! I'm not even looking at the snow blower until tomorrow.

It's gotta be closed by now, I can barely see the house across the street. This is when working from home sucks, no storm day for me.

Very true, just wish I could shut down and go play with my kids upstairs than struggling through writing piles of development standards documentation this afternoon.

Just went out for the first pass with the snowblower. Man, that sucked balls.

Yep, same here. It's hard to tell how much snow is down so far due to the drifts, but I'm guessing a good 25 cms or so. Plowed once already, but won't bother again until the morning.

Got to have the pleasure of venturing out on the roads a few hours ago. My oldest has a bad chest infection and the poor little bugger was nearly coughing up a lung so had to go to the ER. Pretty thankful for four wheel drive tonite.
Thankfully back home now and going to enjoy a quiet beer before bed.
