Fucking Eastlink, all HD hockey feeds are down. And because most of the games are available on TV, they're blacked out on GameCenter Live…

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? Every Canadian HD feed is out. A buddy of mine suggested they might have diverted HD bandwidth for the Moose game.LiverDance wrote:I know, what the fuck is that about. Stole this from Reddit:
(a la Simpson's Monorail)
(a la Simpson's Monorail)
Bettman: The name's Bettman. Gary Bettman. And I come before you good people tonight with an idea. Probably the greatest... Aw, it's not for you. It's more of a Seattle idea.
Now wait just a minute! We're twice as smart as the people of Seattle! Just tell us your idea and we'll vote for it!
Bettman: All right, I tell you what I'll do. I'll show you my idea! I give you the Phoenix Coyotes! I've sold teams to Atlanta, Quebec City, and Hartford, and by gum, it put them on the map!
Well, sir, there's nothing on earth Like a genuine, Bona fide, Icified, 20 man, NHL Team!
...
What'd I say?
NHL Team!
What's it called?
NHL Team!
That's right! NHL Team!
(crowd chants "NHL Team" softly and rhythmically)
I hear those things don't draw crowds.
Bettman: Tickets will sell and you'll be wowed.
Is there a chance the ice could melt?
Bettman: Not on your life, my Canadian friend.
What about us cheap deadbeats?
Bettman: You'll all be given cushy seats.
Were you sent here by the devil?
Bettman: No, good sir, I'm on the level.
Glenn Healy: The ring came off my pudding can.
Bettman: Take my pen knife, my good man.
I swear it's Glendale's only choice...
Throw up your hands and raise your voice!
All: NHL Team!
Bettman: What's it called?
All: NHL Team!
Bettman: Once again...
All: NHL Team!
Mayor Weiers: But Main Street's still all cracked and broken!
Councilman Martinez: Sorry, Mayor, the mob has spoken.
All: NHL Team!
NHL Team!
NHL Team!
NHL Team!

One man has been arrested in northern Brazil after a referee who fatally stabbed an amateur player over his refusal to leave the field was decapitated by a mob, police said on Saturday.
Referee Octavio da Silva, 20, stabbed player Josenir dos Santos, 30, on June 30 after Mr. dos Santos refused to heed his order to leave, police spokesman Kena Souza told Reuters.
A mob then turned on Mr. da Silva, killing him before severing his head in the remote town of Pio XII, named after a former pope. A 27-year-old man was arrested on July 2 and police in the regional headquarters of Santa Ines will continue to investigate the incident, Mr. Souza said.
