Nothing but cold in HFX and pale ale is fine. No fire, Saturday Night Blues is on and Marten in my hands.

Temperature dropped quickly this morning. Went from slush in one driveway to frozen solid two driveways later.

Another nice day for a refreshing ice cold glass of weizen.

20CM wet snow to shovel.

Minus 17C, but the sun is shining and it looks like spring a bit, as long as you don't poke your head outside the door.

Have a good weekend all.

ps. People saying more bad weather on Monday.

It's a beautiful day out here. Quick breakfast downtown, then high school basketball at SMU.

We used to winter camp at fundy all the time when we were younger, building quinzees or four season tents. It was fun, I don't think id enjoy it as much now though.

I had half of a 6-pack of Coke explode on my back seat overnight Tuesday. Thankfully it hadn't got warm enough Wed AM to melt the brown ice, but it was still a pain to clean up. Sadly, it's not the first time I've had that happen...

It's ominously quiet, still, dark and started raining. I like the rain ...reminds me of jolly old England. I think it's going to be "pissing with rain and blowing like fuck" ...one of my mother's expressions that I love. Imagine it spoken in the Queen's English with emphasis on the words "pissing" and "fuck".

Snow is really picking up here. No snow yet though. Hopefully this storm won't be as bad as they're predicting.

This is a warning that potentially hazardous conditions are expected in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.

A low pressure system west of Nova Scotia is pushing a mix of precipitation through the province as it tracks northeastward. Rain at times heavy is falling over most regions. Rain will gradually diminish today. Rainfall amounts between 30 and 50 millimetres are expected by later this morning.

Winter storm conditions are occurring over Northern Nova Scotia where temperatures are colder with ice pellets and freezing rain this morning switching back to periods of snow later today.
