All of the songs I plan on doing for the next little while can be done using those chords if I change the scale around a little Strumming and picking is another topic that I'm just starting to get into.

I'll take some pictures of my guitars later and post them up.
If you want cheat on the F without making a bar chord, just play a C and drop your middle/ring fingers one string(s) down. That is not a true F and does not sound as full as the bar F, but it will get you by in a pinch until you are comfortable with the real F.

Liverdance is right on with his E suggestion. Make that E and then move it up the 5th fret and bar the 5th fret with your index finger, press hard so no strings are muted.....it will hurt your hand and you will curse. Now you have A bar chord, strum twice, move that position to the 3rd fret, now you have the G, strum twice, move that hand to the first fret, now you have the F, strum twice.......and move your index finger off and play the original E, strum twice......congrats, you just played "Hit The Road Jack" by Ray Charles and a million other people.

Hit the Road Jack is a great song to practice your bar chords and strengthen your hand......and everyone will sing it with you after a few beers. :spilly:
