I meant in poorer countries, it's hard to scrape out a living on a good day. Being busted up playing sports could be terminal for you or your family. Soccer is a fair bit easier on the body.

I was happy to see the Germans pound Brazil as they were leading the World Cup with dives (and I bet $20 on Germany), funny article about in the WSJ called the world rankings of flopping:

Glad to see the Germans win it, even though I picked Argentina to win it in the bracket. You guys owe me a beer the next time I am in Halifax (or you guys are in SJ) :)

I travel to SJ quite often and may be there as early as next week, I owe you beer at the SJ Ale House or any other bar that serves Shane's beer. :cheers2:
