FREE Coffee Roaster

Post by Keggermeister » Tue Aug 16, 2011 10:13 am

I am giving my hot air popper/coffee roaster to the first person that wants it and will actually use it.

I have bypassed the internal thermal switches on it so that it will run forever at high temperatures. This makes it somewhat of a fire hazard if left unattended. It will literally run until it melts it's self. Use it outside and let it cool after 2 or 3 back to back batches (~1lb).

So what are you buying?
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

Awesome! That's the one I use the most as well. I have a list of what origins of beans will match which pgm on the machine that I found online that is really useful. Where do you get your beans?

(sorry I know this is the classified forum)

I usually go through greenbeanery in T.O. I have found the quality to be poor lately though.
I am a big Sumatra fan.

I have to order some as we speak. Looking for a new place to shop... Any ideas?

I've been getting them from Jim @ Java Blend. Likely more expensive then the greenbeanery...but always guaranteed to be quality beans. I usually buy 10 -12lbs at a time...and if I remember correctly...my last order cost $70-$75.

If this is still available I would love it... my brother started out with a hot air popper and once he got the feel for it he upgraded to a decent roaster... he has reccomended I start this way. If you're going to the grain pickup or rockbottom and you could bring it along that would be awesome or I could pick it up sometime. thx. Larry
