Free Hallertauer Hops

If anyone in the Saint John area is interested, I'm planning on harvesting Hallertauer hops next weekend. The other 95% is going in the compost.

Hey mindless2, I'm not sure if I'll be picking Saturday or Sunday yet. Weather looks good for both. How much would you need? 1 large freezer bag? More?
Bowserm. I don't have any way to preserve them. I think the heated food dehydrator would burn off some of the aroma. I'm worried fresh ones would get moldy in the mail. I could try anyway of you want? I think last year, I got 6 freezer bags and only used 12 cups spiking a cheap Pilsner kit to get an idea o the flavour. Best $20 kit I've had yet!

If i can figure out a way to get them fresh in the mail, Ill let you know before Friday. I am going to get in touch with one of the sites that I work for, who are in Saint John, and see if they have any cold shipping packaging.

Makes no difference to me. I have the day off work, so I'll be around. If I take the kids out for a bit, I'll leave them on the front step. Just one plant completely grew up the side of my greenhouse, over the roof and is just loaded with cones. If your brews turn out, I can give you a plant in the spring.
