Price Idea for Stanley... want to upgrade.
I'm contemplating selling Stanley and building out a Keezer and starting over. Ideally I'd like something that can hold 5 kegs /w CO2, a carboy\bucket (cold crash) along with space for bottles & growlers. Unfortunately Stanley doesn't meet my needs any more and I'm looking to upgrade.
I'd be looking to sell the below as a package.
Standard every day white fridge with inside gutted and doors intact.
5 Perlick 525 PC & Shanks /w Growler filler
5 tap Handles with pieces so it can accommodate the tall handles.
Custom drip tray
1 4 way manifold with regulator with a 5lb CO2 tank
5 Air and 5 Liquid ball lock disconnects & all lines

What's the link to the fridge, may be easier for me to strip stanley and migrate everything to a new fridge.

Re: Price Idea for Stanley... want to upgrade.
I have a fridge and a freezer and one thing I don't like about the freezer is the moisture buildup. It was a new freezer and the walls inside are going rusty already. I have a pot of damprid in there but makes no difference. If it were me, I'd buy another fridge and a blichmann gun. I'm doing more bottling from kegs now, and the fridge which used to have kegs in it now has a library of bottles. I like that for giving away samples, sending to competitions and also being able to drink beers from months gone by, thus more selection. Drinking from a keg ...once it's gone, it's gone. The freezer at the top of the bottle fridge is perfect for hops. If you trade Stanley for a keezer, you'll lose your hop storage. Notice yeast storage also in the fridge, that's also not very practical in a keezer.

Personally I think you would be better off keeping your taps, lines, etc. and transfer them to whatever you decide to build. You already own them and may be hard pressed to get back what you paid, only to have to go back and buy the same gear all over again.Keith wrote:What's the link to the fridge, may be easier for me to strip stanley and migrate everything to a new fridge.

Keith, would a small (very small) freezer of all fridge model not serve you better?
Yould could set up a fermentation box and just turn it up when you want to crash.

Yea I was thinking about doing this as well. I like the idea of the freezer for ease of changing kegs. However as Mark mentioned I'm not a fan of moisture.LeafMan66_67 wrote:Personally I think you would be better off keeping your taps, lines, etc. and transfer them to whatever you decide to build. An All Fridge would be the most practical as the biggest pain is the head space. Could easily build a shelf to support a carboy which could be removed when it's time to change out kegs.
As for hop storage, we do have a regular deep freeze I could use. And with an all fridge I'd have more door space to hold bottles.
I wish I jumped on that $300 bar fridge from Eastside when they renovated.
