Hey folks,

I think I'm outgrowing Labatt's bottles. I'm looking for some 500ml crown cap bottles. Enough to keep 2 or 3 23L batches on the go, Between 80 and 100

Ideally they would all be the same type. I have a few Gahan/Picaroon type, but I also have a few of the taller Propeller type.

Is there a good place to find these, other than the NSLC?

You could always try the bottle depot - I know guys have had luck with getting the grolsch flip tops there.

Or you could do what I did - buy the 500ml bottles full and enjoy them one at a time!

Is there a particular depot that is more hospitable? John Ross is just up the road, I may swing by later.

I called ahead to the depot (I used Tanners Bottle Depot) and I asked to get my name on the grolsh bottle list. It's $4/dozen and I ordered 12 dozen (I've done this twice now). They took my name and number then they contacted about a week later to let me know they had the bottles. Easy.

The one in Timberlea was helpful when I went looking

Awesome Fishdisease. The gal on the phone at John Ross said they didn't resell them, but the boys at Tanners were a treat to deal with. 5 dozen grolsch bottles are soaking in oxiclean as we speak.
