Hey Everyone,

I'm looking for this type of food container (for obvious reasons) and I can't figure out where I can get them.



Basically I need a stackable, food grade container that I can get into with moving everything that is on top of it. I have to organize my basement to handle more inventory.

Petsmart has these, and I think I've seen them at costco too. They claim to hold 40lbs of kibble which should be darn close to a bag of grain.

yeah, not really sure about $40 per. I need 40 and $1600 is a bit much to swallow for containers.

Thanks. But those leave me in the same position I'm in now. I have enough 5 gallon plastic buckets but in order to get to the grain at the bottom I have to move 3-4 buckets off of the top of it.

It sounds small, but when I'm trying to make up 4 recipes for orders those little things add up. If only there was a bulkbarn going out of business somewhere....

maybe build a cubby hole shelf system? even if you find the totes your looking for with the flip open half lid, still would require taking other bins off to reach one on the bottom

And if your using 5 gallon buckets, you can build the shelf to your dimensions too

this one seems like a winning idea from the cost perspective. could make it all from 2x4, doesnt need to be pretty, just strong.

If you end up building a frame for the containers, maybe you could use the 5 gal buckets on a lean instead of buying new ones.

2x4x8 each $2.98
OBS 1/4 4x8 Plywood $8.79

16"w x 16"t x 24"d plenty of room to fit a 5 gallon pail

6 shelves per row, 5 high, 30 total

14 2x4 for the uprights, 2 sheets of plywood for shelves, no need for a back panel since its going against a wall, and you can anchor it to the wall for added stability and strength. think of it like a stud wall with 16" on center but 2 feet deep

$60 for lumber, add a few bucks for screws, this is what I'd do

And if you want, Id put it together for you if you needed a hand

I had this for cat/dog food. Worked quite well.

The one review I read on these wasn't great, but I'm going o grab a couple and see. Lined with a plastic bag I think these will work great!

How much space does a 55 bag take? If I boy plain on having the basic base malts how much or what volume of spacey am I looking at?

It's about the same size as a big bag of flour that the bakeries use.
