Need a brew kettle

Post by misterdalliard » Mon Feb 18, 2013 10:11 pm

I'm looking for a brew kettle, not really picky on the details so long as it's big enough to make a 5 gallon batch. Can't find much that doesn't cost 100 bucks and up. I have a half barrel sankey, but I feel like I would instantly regret chopping it up. I'm in Charlottetown, but would pay to have it shipped if the price was right. Cheers!

New, your best pricing is probably going to be OBK.

The Cash & Carry in Halifax has nice aluminum pots, and you can get a good sized pot for ~$70. Other than that, I'm thinking you'd have to go used for anything under $100.

Weird coincidence. I'm buying my keg lines and taps from OBK as we speak. Will check that out. Thanks!

FWIW, I have the OBK 15g pot and I'm very happy with it. I had 3 custom built keggles with welded fittings that I sold and replaced with the OBK pot.

This one is hard to beat for less than $100, and for $120 you can get the 15 gal version

Second on OBK. Also: You WILL NOT regret going with a ball valve and some silicon hose for getting liquids out of your pot. Changed my life from siphoning.
