Incredibly over priced - especially given both gauges on the regulator are busted. But maybe someone can talk them down to like $160 or something.

Same guy. Maybe $250 for both the keg stuff and the carboys/buckets... certainly not the $650 asking!

If the fridge works, maybe $200 for the top deal.

So I harassed the guy a bit.. haha
I don't want to argue with you, but I will say this, I don't know where you priced out a complete keg system, but locally, it's $269.99 for a single keg and 5lb co2 tank set up, a 10lb is $319.99, and individual kegs are $60 each. Not to mention the keg to keg filter system, which is $65. Plus I'm throwing in a working fridge to hold 2 full kegs. And the regulator works fine. It's just a broken gauge. Which I would be happy to buy for the $16 they are worth. So add all that up and you get just over $500, not including the fridge. What would you be willing to pay for a fridge that will easily hold 2 kegs? Including all the brewing equipment, in a deal, i was willing to go to $550 for the whole lot. I figure $50 extra for carboys, buckets, and all the accessories was a pretty good deal.

Kegs are $30 max - if I was buying 3, I'd expect $80. Used tank is $70. Regulator with broken gauges is $20. If he expects retail prices for used equipment....

Used fridge is well under $100.

And the filter is worthless.

That's exactly what I told him. Hopefully no one is foolish or naive enough to pay what he's asking.

i take issue with these numbers. it's a pretty rare occurence for kegs to sell for $30. we've gotten that price or lower because we're willing to stick it out and wait til that kind of deal comes along. and a used fridge will sell for 100 no problem (i sold one for 120 last fall). i have no doubt that this guy will get 400 for the whole shebang... it just won't likely be from a brewnoser and he might have to wait a month or two. there are plenty enough brewers out there that things can be sold at higher-than-justified prices.

:shitstorm:

I say $30 is the going rate on the secondary market for kegs. And to me, a used fridge is a gamble at best, and a %50 loss at leat IMHO. Those are the prices I see on a regular basis.

Yes you see kegs for a lot more but usually they sit there forever or someone talks them down in price. Same goes for fridges - I watch those like a hawk looking for a specific model that's no longer made, and they typically list for $30-75.

fair enough. i don't spend a lot of time browsing kijiji, so i probably only see the initial prices/the listings that stay up for ages

Buy a bunch and he'll go down in price to $30 IIRC. Bought from this guy before.

If you're referring to the ones I brought back from PEI, that well has dried up. :(

If I go on kijiji I am looking for a deal so 30 would be my max. I really hope no one pays these prices because it ruins it for the rest of us lookng for a deal.

lol, and the total package deals are usually less appealing AFAIAC. I guess if you needed to get set up immediately, you might pay that, but it's still not a great deal. His need is in conflict with his greed, lmfao.....
