just as i figured they would....at Princess Auto. Like most other things that don't sell that are discontinued, they land at every man's favorite place, PA. Stopped by the moncton store today on my way to CB....there they were. Not sure if dartmouth has em or not.
item number 8433211 for ease of checking stock and pricing. They're still high priced at something like $54.99 ish...can't remember exact price..its around that though.

They have them (or did a few hours ago) at the Dartmouth store. It took them a awhile to find them but after some searching someone came from the surplus area with one in hand. He said they had a few left. They were 59.99.

Are these things worth the price? I have a few of those CO2 canister quick chargers, but they generally suck. Any idea on how long these tanks would last at a party in the woods?

Depends on the size of tank you hook up to it. They come with 9oz tanks, but you can use bigger. I've served three kegs no problem.

well...in my opinion, at $60 - NO. At the $20 price cdn tire was selling these for - YES.
If i were to pay $60, i would just get the adapter from ontariobeerkegs, and hook it up to a regulator. One main reason why i like the jacpacs is cause you don't have to worry about breaking your pricey regulator if you tip over the tank, as the jacpac comes with a built in one.
wait it out for a bit, price may come down.

i read on another forum that these are at half price @ $29.99 . I'd call first to confirm with the item number before going though.

that's weird...they were in last week's flyer as a 'special' and still $59.99 Anyways, glad ya got one...decent price at $30. I remember these went for about $150 originally at cdn tire.
Another good thing about some PA is that they're great for returns, even without receipt(phone number in system), and they usually still honor sale prices on most items for 30 days after sale. Although i must say, last time i dealt with the one in Dartmouth they wouldn't on this one item, but did on the two other similar items....he was a douche.....never ANY problems from the one in Moncton though. I've seen myself shop and buy things from 3 separate sale flyers...lol..previous(30days), current, and upcoming(if its on the floor, and you got the flyer they'll honor it.)
PS, i love Princess Auto...in case ya haven't noticed. lol

Remember to snug up the brass bolt on the cylinder. They have been known to leak CO2....

I just bought another one until I can find my old receipt and use it to return at the $59.99 price. I was going to ask about refunding to the sales price, but I couldn't be bothered, just easier to return it with my old receipt then go through the drama.

I got two today at the Moncton location, about 10 left in stock. There's a note on them saying the tank is no longer good and that's why they are $30 off. How did you guys connect the out from the reg to the quick disconnect on the keg?

Hopefully this is clear: I undid the compression fitting on the end of the yellow tube, pushed it back up the line, and shoved a gas quick disconnect on the end. Haven't cut anything, so if I ever want to use it as intended, no problem!

I bought some quick disconnect fittings and made a second (and third I have both pin and ball lock disconnects) cables so I can use it for the kegs and as a originally intended.

Cheers for the pic Chris! I wonder if these could be modified to work as spunding valves? how hard would it be to get a threaded male end with a barb that would screw into the bottom??

What about filling up these small tanks?
Is there a paintball place that does it around? Or are we talking DB's.

I went to Banshee Paintball Guns and Equipment on portland street. I didn't bother price checking. They were .50 an ounce which might be expensive I don't know. I looked up paintball on canada411 and just picked the closest. I'd be interested to find out the cheapest place. I was also looking at a charging station for ~30 on a spare large tank.

Are these NG's filling them at the location or just doing a trade?
Just wondering as my 5 lb is with them.
