Need to Borrow a Pepsi Keg
Hi folks,
Wondering if anyone has a pepsi keg (ball-lock) I can borrow for a month or so (or buy if anyone is looking to get rid of one...as if...).
All mine are full and I need to have my oatmeal stout ready for next weekend.
Thanks
t

I could lend you one. If no one closer pipes up. It's a long drive from Darkness just to grab a keg.

I'd normally have one or two free, but because of my recent brewing spree, all of mine are going to be used within the next week.

Re: Need to Borrow a Pepsi Keg
I have the same problem. Mine will be in use just as soon as the four kegs worth of beer I have brewing is ready to keg. Normally it would be in the keg by now, but ironically the unseasonably warm weather has meant temperatures as low as 13C in the brewing room - because we haven't been putting the heat on in the house.Jimmy wrote:I'd normally have one or two free, but because of my recent brewing spree, all of mine are going to be used within the next week.
Call Johnny Mac - he has lots of kegs for sale at ridiculous prices. He may only have Coke kegs - but if so, I'll be happy to trade you a Pepsi for a Coke.
Currently on tap: Nothing!
In keg: Still nothing.
In Primary: Doggone American Rye Pale Ale

Re: Need to Borrow a Pepsi Keg
I've got one I bought from a member (I don't remember who) a bit ago and haven't used yet. You're welcome to borrow it so long as you can guarantee I get it back (or a keg back..) in less than 3 weeks. I'll need it then, before I leave for Christmas break. I live downtown, if that helps.Tim Gregory wrote:Hi folks,

If X is done with the one I lent him in the summer, I'm in no hurry to get it back.

Yes, I have one sanitized and ready to go - in New Glasgow. Won't be able to get it back up here until next Tuesday if that works for you Tim.
Anytime you need it back Bobby, just let me know.

Re: Need to Borrow a Pepsi Keg
Tim, I have a couple up for sale, I paid $35/each for them a year or so ago and would prefer to get my money back on them, but would let them go cheaper as that is a bit above the going rate (though ball locks do seem to be hard to find). I'm in Timberlea and will be around the house the next couple of evenings.
I also have some ball lock connectors (not sure how many, possibly 3 sets), that I'd like to get say $6/each or $10/set if anybody is interested.
Tim, let me know (fired you off a PM as well).

Re: Need to Borrow a Pepsi Keg
Thanks for all the offers guys! Derek I'll take you up on that offer if I can get one from JohnnyMac. I'll let you know. I'd rather just have an extra one than borrow one. If it doesn't work out I'll let the rest of you know or buy one of Tim's.

Tim, I'm pretty sure I've got one you can borrow too. It'll need a good cleaning (still unused from the big order), but I've got new o-rings that can be popped on.

just checked the storage closet... yep, I've got some (although mine are in the same state as chalmers' kegs)
you're more than welcome to borrow it if you want.
