I bought one of these for when I had my own business.
Was a danby, very nice.

Got it off a couple guys out of Moncton, at the time they were selling them on ebay shipped including taxes for $600.00.
I'm not sure if they are still around or not but they told me they were actually distributors for Danby and were just getting set up.

Good luck.

They were still doing it as of last year but honestly, they are pretty mickey mouse compared to a 'True' commercial unit which seem to appear on kijiji fairly often for $200 - $400. They are serviceable which is the greatest thing about them, very rugged and run $1300 and higher after tax new. Nothing wrong with a little Danby either though, I bought three of them 2 years ago at Crap Tire for $179 each and converted them :cheers2:

Yeah the one I got was an actual real unit.
I guess they started out building them themselves and then Danby contacted them and said "hey just sell ours"
The one I had was a real factory kegerator, I should have never got rid of it was a great little machine.
I may still have their email address in my gmail, I'll try and look it up and get back to ya.

Here is the email that was used with the auction on ebay I "won".

I have the True brand kegerator, I find it noisy and runs quite a bit.

If you're really looking to use a bar fridge... you can convert one yourself.
You need to get one that has no freezer (I bought mine at futureshop when they went on sale).

That being said, this set-up (with the fridge that I have) will only hold 2 cornies (barely). If you want to be able to use sanke kegs (or hold more than two beers), you'll want either a bigger fridge, or a factory-made kegerator.

took my bar fridge, and replaced the door shelves with a piece of aluminum-poly-aluminum.

The 5lb and dual-body reg fits perfectly.

Fridge holds two corneys (barely)... I'm just using a couple picnic faucets for now, but I can see myself replacing that set-up with a two-tap tower within the next few years.

That's what I did with mine as well. Bent back the cooling element to the back wall. Works like a charm.
