WTB: Square D/Schneider Electric GFCI
Like the title says, I'm looking for a GFCI for the new setup. It's likely a long shot, but figured it was worth giving it a try before buying one new. It's the Square D/Schneider QO line of breakers that I'd need. Would prefer 30A.

Let me ask at work tomorrow if there's a cheaper option.

Check eBay. These breakers are around $100 each. When I was building my house I got a four pack on eBay for around the same price from someone in the US.

I bought mine from amazon.com and even with shipping it was considerably cheaper. Also the last time I was at Jentronics they had a box of misc used breakers that I think included some square D GFIs. I posted about it in the deals section at the time.

I checked with Jentronics, and they don't have any Square D breakers - they said it was a one time thing and they cleared them out.
Amazon.com has great pricing, but it says it doesn't ship for 2-4 weeks..homedepot.com (American) also has great pricing..
I was able to find one local for $234, it's looking like it may be my best option right now.

I'd be leery of ebay GFCI breakers - in the past, we've heard rumors of repackaged or reclaimed breakers from flood damaged homes, etc. If I was installing a GFCI for my own protection, I'd want to know its origin.Ladd wrote:Check eBay. Jimmy - have you checked with your electrician to see if he can get it for a better price at a local distributor rather than off the shelf at HD?

Ended up getting it for $212. Not amazing, but pretty good compared to the going price around here.

Where did you get it Jimmy? I was planning to go with an inline GFCI for my setup that I'm planning, but that solution is looking a lot more expensive than having GFCI at the breaker.
