Re: 4.4 cf fridge
I got lucky today on an ad that had been around for more than a week but nobody else bit on. Whirlpool WAR488W 4.4 no freezer (allegedly not just the equivalent of a Danby, but made by them as well).
It will be a while yet before I can justify the costs to turn it I to a kegerator. So it's mostly going to be a beer fridge for now.
If I wanted to try to use it for cold crashing is it safe to put a carboy in without an airlock? Door modifications aside I just can't see fitting even a 5g carboy above the compressor hump with an airlock on. Or is that simply not an option without building a ferm chamber to fit this into?
