Make Your Own Tap Handles

Post by Cobalt » Wed Jul 24, 2013 7:20 pm

So, as the subject line says, I finally found the piece to make the magic work.

Had to buy them in a bag of 25, only need 5 for myself. So of the remaining 20, Im offering them up for sale here if people want some.

$2.00 individually, or 3 for $5.00

Some info about these inserts, they are 1" long, so plenty of room if you have a longer threaded end. Easy to use, drill your hole, and screw these in with an allen key. Fit perfectly on my perlicks :)

I have some plans to make my own with leftover hardwoods from renovations, so if anyone has a lathe, PM me and we can work something out :)

*Edit*
Ill go with only 4 for myself, so if the last person wants 3 they can
Sold 15 of 21 -6 Remaining - or 2 bundles of 3 left
LiverDance, TimG (yes ill be "around" lol), Tim Gregory, CorneliusAlphonse, GAM are the lucky winners so far.

I will be going to whatever gets decided for the August 3rd brewnosers event, and will be dishing these out then. If you want them sooner of whatever works best for you, you can PM me or call/text anytime (440-0517) and we can arrange a time to meet. It may be possible for me to drop off during the day, work is random for me, I never know where ill be (within HRM however) so that may be an option for some.

jtmwhyte, ill pm you.

I'll take three off your hands
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

If you're around on the Aug 2-4 weekend I'll take 3 as well. If not, no worries.

I'd actually be interested in finding a bag of 25 of my own to mess around with. Where did you get them?

"Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain -
Quaintest thoughts - queerist fancies
Come to life and fade away;
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today." ~ Poe
