That price is crazy! i'm hoping its miss typed and really is suppose to say $275
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Does it come with the patio doors?

That's crazy. On the other hand, I can hook anyone up with a similar system for, let's say , $770! Now that's a deal...

Well, its crazy, but $275 is low too. Looks like you could put together something similar (but nicer--I don't like keggles) from Everwood and Brewhardware (for the sight glass) for a bit over $500, plus tax (so about $600 when you're all in). If you were just looking to have a turn key system, I suppose this would be a reasonable deal for say $400.

3 x 15 gallon kettle = $315
1 x false bottom = $35
1 x sight glass = $30
3 x threaded ball valve = $60
2(?) x thermometer = $35
3 x hose barbs = ($15(?)
1 x roll of insulation = $20(?)
= $510-ish*.

If he ordered things from the states, he probably has more than that in, with shipping, and has a false idea of how much his system is worth in light of the new availablity of low cost equipment with Everwood and OBK now. (It is computer resale syndrome.)

*I bet Dave you give you a deal if you bought a whole system at once! ;)

A sabco fb is probably in the $100 range minimum across the border.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

Actually I made a mistake when I posted the ad. The system is selling for ..... Wait for it! Not $775.00 as I said. But the great price of $750.00. See it's $25.00 cheaper already.

I have sight glasses too! and I'm always willing to deal for a large system #onestopshopping

But I always say that used is 50% retail, so 275-300 seems right to me.
