WANTED: Keggle!

Post by Shanoon » Fri May 03, 2013 11:06 pm

Hello!

My name is Shannon.

I am just getting into all-grain brewing and I am seeking equipment suitable to brew 10 gallon batches. I am hoping to acquire a keggle or a large keg that can be converted into a keggle.

Any leads or suggestions?

Cheers!

Shannon

15G kegs can be hard to come by, you may have to wait a bit to find one.
Have you considered these? They come highly recommended on here, and the price is defiantly comparable to a keggle by the time your done.

I've got a 15G keg I'd be willing to trade for two corny kegs.

OBK would be a nice buy. I use a keggle but the pot has the ports in it.

I have a 15 gallon from OBK. They just dropped the price down to $100. Hard to beat. I think Dave, from Everywood Ave., is also going to be getting in some pots. Check with him. Also: Welcome to all grain!

Both the OBK and the 15g keg options seem awesome! Any advice on why one may be better than the other?

What about shipping costs for the OBK kettle? The website didn't seem to list any. Trading two 19L kegs for a 15g one definitely peaks my interest as well.

Thanks,

Shannon

OBK used to have 14.99 flat rate shipping to the maritime, just go to check out and you can see what shipping is, and buy 20 lb of grain for 99 cents a lb while you are at it

Fermenting: Oud bruin/Vienna Pekko SMaSH
On tap: Nelson dry hopped Berliner/ Scottish Heavy 70-/ NE IPA

I bought the 19g with all the options a few weeks ago. Shipping was $11.99 and it was here in 3 days.

I'd take you up on that trade. I've got a couple of spare pin lock (coke) corney kegs.

Just an heads up, there will soon be two places to buy those "OBK" pots. I have a shipment in transit set to land at the end of the month. My prices will be competitive with the other pots and you can come and pick it up to save shipping. I'll also be carrying all of the accessories needed to start off into both all-grain and extract brewing. Stay tuned...

Thanks
Dave

Awesome! They look great. I will ponder kettles vs. keggles for a few weeks.
