Order from OBK
I am placing a small order from OBK this week and thought I would see if anyone on PEI was in need of anything from there to split shipping costs a bit.

I suppose that you already saw it, but they have starter kits now. The deal with the pot is a pretty good one, considering that you get two beers with it!

Yes I did, I am trying to find the extra cash right now so I can get the full kegging system kit. But I don't think that will be happening. So I will likely start with kit #2. I have been spending way too much time looking at DIY stuff, so I feel I need a keg system now

Kegging is nice, but there's no need to rush there at all. I'd invest (as you're doing) in a kettle with valves, but also a good chilling system and fermentation temp. control *long* before you think about kegs. Kegs provide convenience. All of the rest, especially the last two, make better beer.

I won't be skimping on the important stuff just to get the keg system, I just want it all now...typical greedy newbie I know. Luckily I also know that my softball team will gladly invest in a keg and parts for a DIY jockey box with the promise of me bringing ice cold beer to the ball field for them. Then I will just need my stuff for home
