Espresso machine FS

Post by NASH » Thu Mar 31, 2011 9:23 pm

Well I thought I'd stick this in here too, we are a group of OCD geeks after all. This is another one of those toys that just fits right into the whole geekery lifestyle. This isn't my machine but it belongs to a friend - I bought it for him brand new and it's a great little espresso machine for the price.

V-Tek Milano Espresso machine FS:
The Milano's internal components are identical to the Pasquini Livietta T2. It's a dual-thermoblock machine (one for espresso and one for steaming), ensuring that there's always adequate hot water available for each purpose.

Used for approximately two double shots of espresso each day for two years. Cleaned (inside and out) and backflushed regularly. Filtered water only used (no calcification of internal parts). Working the same as the day I got it.

This is an excellent way to get into real home espresso: don't mess around with low-end stuff like Mr. Coffee, Breville, De'Longhi and Saeco. The Milano is a proper Italian espresso machine capable of producing a very, very good shot, and it doesn't take up very much space at all.

$500

Comes with portafilter, single and double baskets and a nice, heavy, custom tamper.

If you want to read reviews on the machine you should look for the Pasquini Livietta T2 since that's what this is, rebranded and put inside a different shell for sale in Canada only, not much info out there on the 'Milano' as such.

I can attest to the fact that this is one workhorse of a machine. The ex had one and once you have your grind dialed in it pulled perfect shots every time.
