Looks like good deal to me, especially if the tank is up to date

Sorry Jayme, but I actually picked these up this morn....on the bright side tho, think I may have gotten rooked and saved you some money! lol ...( I know diddly SQUAT about kegs, but wanna get away from bottles)
once I got em home, discovered they are 30L "Franke" kegs(used for Sleemans), and I really dont see how they can be opened, but there must be a way...!
No fittings either, so have fired off a note to OntbeerKegs to see if he can supply whats needed for a keezer bar, or if I just threw that money away....Oh well, it was a nice drive to loonyburg!

You didn't get rooked, but you should have asked a few questions about kegs first. The kegs you are looking for are corny/pepsi/coke/balllock/pinlock. Not sankes.....on the bright side, you can probably unload them without too much of a $$$$ hit.

Before you start buying couplers and such, stop and decide which way you are going now that you have these - cornies or sankes.

I have a coupler if (if it fits) you want to try them out.

How was the tank?

I havent had the tank looked at yet.. its a lil rough around the edges, but is probly OK. Im in the valley, so co2 fills seem to be hard to find in the 1st place, so a 20#er is good!
Got one of the kegs open finally, and looks like compressing the oring to get the keeper back in was the hardest part, but Ill figger out an easier way, providing I can get parts that fit. (Ontbeerkegs doesnt do sankes) If I can do that, Ill build me a keezer as planned! Just in time for winter....:(

Pretty sure OBK does Sanke stuff: http://www.ontariobeerkegs.com/category_s/66.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; also under the "Beer store keg kits" section.

Very odd indeed. Maybe he just means things like dip tubes and snap rings.

Those sanke kegs aren't designed to be taken a part on a regular basis.

Keep in mind cleaning as well - if you have the chemicals and a keg washer, it probably wouldn't be too bad but since you're just getting into kegging, I'm guessing you're not geared up to do that. Cornies are a lot easier to clean. Plus the 30L size is no good if you're a 5 gallon brewer, unless you do a batch and a half every time. If I were you, I'd try finding someone who will trade you cornies for them (don't look at me though!).
