this one turns off after a minute or 2, its usually more than enough time, and if you turn it back on it auto-tares itself!

yeah, i use it regularly. works like a charm. but it does shut off after probably 2 minutes without activity. so if you are weighing in a pound of grain, don't put in 200g and walk away, or you will have to make an educated guess at how much more is needed.
planning: beer for my cousin's wedding
Fermenting: black ipa
Conditioning:
Kegged: barrel barleywine from 2014 - i think i still have this somewhere

I have this one and find that it works extremely well. Like others have mentioned, it does shut off after 2 minutes. More than enough time to measure out your grains or hops.

You're more organized than me! Two minutes (which I think is what my scale does, too) is really pushing it sometimes :-)
Currently on tap: Nothing!
In keg: Still nothing.
In Primary: Doggone American Rye Pale Ale

it's two minutes without adding more stuff to it - so if I'm running a little slow, I just pick up the bowl I'm weighing into ad set it down again, and it seems to reset the power off timer
