ive been thinking about getting a bigger pot, but if im making 5gallon batches would that pot be a little unnecessary?

I've got one just like that and it's great. I can fit it over several burners on the stove and get a good boil going and not worry (too much) about boil overs cause it's only half full.

That was a very good deal. Headspace is priceless in a brew kettle...
