anyone have too many bottles?

Post by adamshell » Mon Jan 31, 2011 12:02 am

Hey folks,

If anyone in the downtown area (or visiting the downtown area by car) is willing to sell some bottles, don't hesitate to contact me: adamshell1@gmail.com. Glass is preferable, and any size is fine.

How many do you need? And any size is ok? Twist versus pry-off?

I'd like ideally to accumulate around 150 641ml glass bottles, of the pry-off variety. This being said, I'd happily take any glass bottle provided they're relatively clean so I can avoid having to buy them new-I'll have a batch ready for bottling on the 6th (I've found 1 batch makes about 35 641ml bottles, and I've only got about 10 that aren't in use right now). Let me know by e-mail if you can help me out (I sometimes forget to check this site), or call me: 221-7746. I live just down the street from Propeller on Gottingen. I dont have a car, but there's parking by my building. I know it might be inconvenient, but I can pay better than the depot.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Adam

the 641ml....is that the size propeller uses? if so, it might be worthwhile to stop in and see if you can buy empty bottles from them :) Fisher bottles with the swingtops are 650ml...if you wanted to go that route. Here in NB, i usually just go to the depot and get my bottles...not sure if the ones in your area will allow ya to buy em back...

I'm pretty sure Propeller reuses their bottles... and I dont know of any bottles depots where I can buy rinsed bottles. :(

no, you wouldn't get rinsed....but a small amount of cleaning should take care of it though.
