Looking For: Blichmann BeerGun
Hello,
I am looking to buy a used beer gun bottle filler. Version 1 or 2, doesn't really matter.
Thanks,
William

The DIY works ok...I have the original though but you can find an equivalent knock off on AliExpress as wade posted...as well made as a Blichmann and yes under $40.

Re: Looking For: Blichmann BeerGun
Yeah at that price it’s pretty attractable eh? Just the fact that it gets you some stainless parts in there is worth it over the DIY version. I keep my parts clean, sanitized, and in the fridge when not in use but I do have to switch my components out just for peace of mind from time to time.
With the DIY version I have to get a pretty good handle on tank pressure (general keg situation anyway) and have to fill the bottles with co2 prior with a separate hose from the regulator. If this version simplifies that then its well worth it.

That's a crazy price, just ordered one! I'll finally have a reason to test out my quick disconnect tips for my intertaps

Re: Looking For: Blichmann BeerGun
I've used mine a few times and seems to be ok. I have intertap faucets and have bought the ball lock adapter.
The main issue I've had was that the clip at the end of the gun doesn't seal the best at times and has fallen once in a bottle. The other complaint (and maybe it's my issue) is that I've followed the recommended serving pressure and all that good stuff with filling and bottles are foaming up a lot. I'm going to keep playing with it and see if I can figure it out. Other than that everything seems to be ok!

Re: Looking For: Blichmann BeerGun
Thanks for the offer, I'm looking at one at NG since it's tax free days this weekend. I also want to attach a gas post to the gas connection on the beer gun so I can use my spare gas lines in my keezer.

Awesome, do you have a Blichmann or the Chinese equivalent? Where do get the parts?
I've seen OBK has a kit for their beer gun: https://www.ontariobeerkegs.com/True_Sh ... s-post.htm

I have the OBK Version of the Blichmann. Back when they first started carrying them.
I got the bits and pieces for the CO2 connection from Everwood. Just needed to know what you want (OBK Kit lists the parts) and then go ask for them. I had a couple of issues getting a good seal, so I did apply a bit of teflon tape in areas I wouldn't normally think I needed to. This could be the gun end, or the bits and pieces I bought, not sure.

Just wondering how many people have pulled the trigger (forgive the pun) on the aliexpress bottle filler and how it’s working out ? Considering buying one.

Re: Looking For: Blichmann BeerGun
I did! It worked out great the one time I used it except for when the tip came off and I lost a bit of beer -- that seems to be the weak point of it but I think I should be able to avoid it happening again in the future. One other oddity is that it really smells of Star Anise, not sure why but it has gone away somewhat after soaking it in cleaner.
