NG's Christmas Beer Newsletter

Post by Downs » Wed Dec 07, 2011 10:11 pm

Not sure if this is the right place for this, or if everyone has it anyway.

But one thing of note is the basic keg system with 2 coke kegs.
Sure not as cheap as Johnny was selling them, but for someone getting in this is basically everything you need for a half decent price no?

Compare with this kit, then adjust for shipping and kegs:

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

I hear what you are saying.

So with shipping and discount for brewnosers the ontario kegs total is 209.

You would still need kegs, if you are lucky you could get them for say 30 bucks a piece 2 puts you at 269, same price as NG.

The thing for me, is its much more convenient to get my CO2 filled at NG. So getting a brand new tank was a bit of a waste.
I did this with my last one and just gave it away to NG never to be seen again. Kinda felt burned by that, but its a lot closer to go to NG here in sackville then to go to the place near Bayers.

just sayin i thought this wasnt a half bad deal for someone getting started

I think that you guys, being the pros get really good deals on items that not everyone else has access to.

At the very least I think these 2 deals are pretty comparable.

You can just get your personnel tank filled at Don Brenton's in Lakeside!! They do all the NG stuff anyway.

Don Brenton's in Lakeside Business Park is the place to get it filled.

2 Lakeside Park Drive, Unit 5, Lakeside NS B3T 1L7
(Go around the back, at the Shipping/Receiving Door, furthest from St Margaret's Bay Rd. Drop your tank, and they will give you an invoice to pay at the office)
M-F: 8-4
902-876-7879

However, unless you are keen on keeping your existing tank, the savings do not come until you fill something larger than 5lb. At that size, it's cheaper by a couple of dollars to exchange it at Noble Grape.
