Re: Growler
I'm down for one with a BN logo. I assume there would be a price difference for color/black? I'd be willing to spring a little extra for color as long as it isn't too crazy.

Re: Growler
This logo is quite detailed and harder to apply to the Mini Keg. I did a quick picture so you can see what it would look like. I'll need to know if you are looking to do a sample order of a couple then order more, or if you are looking to order a larger quantity. The sample price would be $60 each.
Let me know what you think and want to do.
Thanks again
Adam

Re: Growler
I was looking to get one of these, still thinking about it...
he sent me this about the taps
"I don't have any more of the CO2 tap system. The tap, pressure gauge and CO2 Cartridge is $125. I've attached a picture"

Re: Growler
yeah I'll pass on the tap setup. I don't really see the point with only 2 litres of beer.

Re: Growler
If you plan to use these be aware that they're a bit difficult to pour out of and a little difficult to fill. Mainly because you can't really see if the beer is foaming or not, not the end of the world by any means but I've seen some growlers stations have real issues with them, definitely need to use hoses or a beergun. They're also pretty pricey for an uninsulated unit IMHO

Re: Growler
That's fair. I wonder how much extra it would cost us to get an insulated more traditional bottle shaped one.

You 'should' be able to find insulated ones somewhere for around the same price.MitchK wrote:That's fair. I wonder how much extra it would cost us to get an insulated more traditional bottle shaped one.

Re: Growler
At the link below, the insulated 64oz white growler is currently $22 CAD (8 left in stock, so they say). I have 4 of those growlers, and they are great. The standard lids are *terrible* (see white 64oz growler at link below) - in that you really have to wrench on them to get them closed (then open again), and then you risk breaking the lid because of the big beefy arms we all have (right?). The company does warranty the lids for life though and was no problem to replace the 1 that I've broke so far.
I have ordered a different lid/handle from Amazon (for $6.99), and am currently waiting on it to be shipped. I'm optimistic that they will make it easier to open/close.
At the Amazon price, throw a BN sticker on it, and call it customized.
I'm waiting to hear back from the company (Fifty/Fifty) on wholesale cost to get them laser etched and shipped here, but it's definitely going to cost way more. Their base, non-customized, not shipped, cost is $22 USD. I'll follow up when I hear back, but I'd honestly jump on the Amazon ones ASAP if I were in the market.

White Growler ($22)
Green Growler ($29) - Looks to come with the better lid/handle.

Re: Growler
The hydroflask is supposed to be the be all and end all of insulated growlers at about 85 bucks.
I wonder how possible/practical it would be to have something stainless engraved/etched rather than a sticker though.

I have 3 different stainless insulated growlers..all of them seem very comparable as far as insulation properties go.MitchK wrote:The hydroflask is supposed to be the be all and end all of insulated growlers at about 85 bucks.

The Hydroflask has a rubber grip around the cap, which is a nice addition for gripping the cap when removing.
The Innate (Unfiltered) has a nice solid handle for carrying, and the lid locks open when pouring..no flapping lid getting in the way.
My favorite as far as functionality goes is the ecovessel. Having the second, smaller opening on the top makes pouring from it super easy...it also comes with a removable infuser, and makes for a good addon to test new ingredients in beers (trying a different dry hop, coffee beans, fruit, etc).

Re: Growler
Very possible, with etching or screensprinting: http://www.fiftyfiftybottles.com/customize/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Their pricing for etching is surprisingly cheap ($3.60 for 9" square), but requires a min of 24 bottles. Screenprinting is also pretty cheap, but min of 72 bottles.

Re: Growler
From a Reddit thread on the topic of Fifty/Fifty vs Hydroflask:
They are pretty much identical. Hydroflask is the original and when the couple split up, the wife started 50/50 and uses the same bottle manufacturerer in china as her ex.

Re: Growler
I have the hydroflask. Works great all except it can be difficult to hold a glass with one hand and pour with the other...especially the first pour with a full growler. It's the champ at keeping beer cold for a long time though!
