If you were to go 120v you would just plug it in. Not sure how much volume 120v could boil. It is 8 gallons in volume and would have no problem boiling full volume. My boil volume is 7 gallons on this keggle and electric can be easier to control with the right setup. This is just a bit of the work done for you, not a complete system
