16 Gal Bayou Classic Pot (Sold)
I have two of these. One I have modified as an all-in-one. The other one I kept in case I wanted to modify it, but I don't seem to need it or to have got around to it, so It's just taking up space in my beer room. This is where I got it from and details: http://ihomebrewing.ca/16-gal-stainless ... h-tun.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It's in perfect shape, just a bit dusty in the pic. I'll clean it. High quality sturdy pot. A nice feature is they also have volume markings on the inside wall. You an just make them out in the second pic, or if you look here at the 8 gal model online there's a pic of the markings for the 8 gal version: http://ihomebrewing.ca/8-gal-stainless- ... h-tun.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
$200?

...Can be seen in action here with a couple of famous local brewers
ps. has never been used on an open flame, just on that ceramic hob.
pps. Includes a couple of Becky's BIAB bags to go with it.

I'd love to have this, but the warden would ship me off to solitary immediately (yes, that is a sex joke)

You haven't seen the brew pot. It seems to magically attract women as well.

I keep looking at these Italian Kegs on OBK and I want some badly, two actually maybe three http://www.ontariobeerkegs.com/5_Gallon ... handle.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I can't justify the cost ... but then I can
if I sell stuff I've been hoarding and not using. There's also very little floor space in my beer room with all the stuff in there. ...there I justified it ...easy as that.

What are the differences between the normal kegs and the Italian ones (other than how shiny they are, manufacturing location, and used vs. new)? Do you have any of the Italian ones already?

Re: FS: 16 Gal Bayou Classic Pot, Wolfville.
I have one, and had it for a year or longer. Got it when they were around $100 at OBK, they had a special on. I love it. You can't take the poppets out, but I never do. They are "clean in place' They should last a lifetime, a lifetime free of frustrations, also aesthetically pleasing. Like being a wine maker and having nice oak barrels to put your wine in. Noble grape has kegs by same manufacturer but with single metal handle rather than rubber top handles, otherwise exactly the same. I've had one of those as well for 2 years.redoubt wrote:What are the differences between the normal kegs and the Italian ones (other than how shiny they are, manufacturing location, and used vs. new)? So what makes them CIP? I feel like they should still be removed (despite the warranty note) to clean, unless they are manufactured in a different way than others typically are.

Re: FS: 16 Gal Bayou Classic Pot, Wolfville.
You can't get them out, although I read on some forum that you can by using a dental pick and hooking behind each leg individually. I run cleaner sanitizer through them, just like the dip tubes really, you can't get inside them either. The legs snap outwards above a ridge inside the post, so they are made differently. The ridge holds them in place inside the post.
