I like this trend; at least for the summer. Seeing that I won't be around for the August meeting and am skipping the Squidport Beerfest this year I've decided to have you guys over to my place on either August 19 (Friday evening) or August 20 (Saturday late afternoon/early evening). My preference is for Saturday, but will consider Friday if people prefer. Please post your availablity here if you want to come.

The theme will be California beers, but of course bring whatever you're willing to share. I have some from Mt. Shasta and Mad River. I should also have some new acquisitions from Maine.
The barbecue will be on, but it's up to you to B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Beef).

Snacks would be welcome too.
If there's any cutlery left over from the July event, whoever has that bring it too.

If anyone doesn't know where I live, e-mail me for details.

Our first poll!

I'd like to make one of these events sometime, but don't think I'll be making this one either. I am sure it will be a good time though!

I voted Friday - I have a prior commitment Sat. Kyle, if the voting is anywhere near being close, throw away my vote, cuz it would be a stretch for me to make it (however much I may want to).

Now that I've seen how the poll works (with results) I've changed it so the results will be more informative.

Done. Either is fine with me (and I was the guy who had voted for both options in the previous poll).

You forgot the "neither" option...

I won't be able to make this one (boo) because I'll be away on vacation (yay!).

I considered that but then realized it would imply that if that option got the most votes I'd have to cancel the party. No one vetoes me!

Okay, Saturday afternoon it is. The event will start at 4:00; we'll start opening the good stuff whenever quorum is reached (only five people voted so quorum is low). E-mail me for address or phone number if needed.

Also, I could use a hand moving some bulky stuff out of my basement, so if anyone can come by early and help me with that I would be grateful.

Thanks everyone who came. We had a great time, as always. Here are the California beers we had (and of course we had lots of great non-California beers too).
Oops. I think the Ranger is from Co, not Ca.
