December 2016 BJCP Tasting Exam: Sunday, Dec 11

I know it seems a long ways away, but I already have a list started from people wanting to take this.

Numbers 1 and 2 are taken (I believe you both are on the forum so identify yourselves)

Reserve a spot now. It's 12 max.

Just respond to this thread - it can then be used to keep track of people.

Jeff

I am interested, but I am not 100% sure that I will still be in Halifax - my girlfriend starts her residency July 2016 and it may be in another part of the country. I won't know where she is going to be until the end of March.

Last time we had 15 people in the list and only 6 wrote. 3 from out of Province.

Is this 2015 Guidelines for the test? I was curious as to how it would work changing over this year.

It'll give you a reason to come back for a drink!

That is a good point!

Ahhh, missed this. Yes, I am on the list. I have written before and I am going for a higher score to rank up this time. I will post in a year or so to test the waters to see if people are interested in arranging a study group/blind tasting group.

I think both myself and Chalmers (I'll let him say for sure of course) mentioned interest in re-writing to try for a higher grade. Gavin mentioned he's interested too, but depending on the exact date he may be in Vancouver visiting family for Christmas.

Anyway - I should be good to go.

please!

I'm also interested in a spot - surely this gives me enough time to prepare and feel comfortable taking the exam. Once the list firms up, I'd really like it if the folks start getting together for tasting/prep sessions as early (and often) as reasonably possible...

I'd write again if there's space, assuming there aren't a bunch of potential new judges waiting for a spot. Either way, I'd be up for occasional practice sessions.

I think I'm going to need more experience before it's worth me rewriting for a higher score, but I'd be up for joining any tasting sessions.

I'd like to take a spot. Fifteen months should be enough time to get some meaningful tasting in.

Please and thank-you
