Is the 2014 Brewnosers homebrew comp happening? It's still listed as TBD on breweroftheyear.com.
Cheers,
Eric

Sorry that no one has responded to this. I'm going to say, definitely not this fall/winter, but if there are a few people who are keen on organizing something in 2015 (maybe Spring?), it might happen.

What are the chances of one being in the early 2015 feb / march before all the other CDN competitions start.
I'd be interested in helping out if i could.. not sure how where i'm in St. John's but if there was something in halifax and my schedule would permit i may be able to come over for the weekend and help steward.

I'd like to see this happen, but of course, the judges have to be down for it. It's definitely not something that has to be done by just the judges - I think there would be lots of help available to make this happen (myself included).

You know I'm in. I'll talk today with Chris about "Organizing" an event.
I don't have a good handel on how much is envolved.

If you have it in St. John's you should have it at Yellowbelly!

As a non judge, I'd be willing to help where I can.

We may want a "Meeting" of volunteers and organizers.

I will gladly volunteer my time, but given my location, I probably best put to use as general labour/setup the night before and steward the day of.

I'm in to help/judge also. Sounds like someone just needs to step up and herd the cats frankly...

My month is fucked.
How about sunday the 19 at Stillwell, RB or Gahan?
2:00ish. Just a meeting to talk over high level specifics and delegate chores

Presumably Oct the 19th? I could do that. I think it would be good if a complete (or as complete as possible) list of required tasks can be compiled. Delegation could start too, but there may be people willing to help out but not able to show up, or even more people needing to be recruited. My thought would be a few people overseeing/coordinating the whole thing, with sub-committees that then break up the nitty gritty.

Sandy most of us will be at Stillwell on the 18th. Could hash out details before we get too drunk lol.

It will be too noisy at the Takeover.
I would even offer my house if that works.
Chris and/or Jeff are almost a requirement for a productive meeting, as they have been involved in organizing in the past.
Those who can't make it could just offer service and be assigned/asked to take a task.

I can/will offer advice, but most definitely will not be a head organizer. I hope y'all understand, need to take a break from dedicating every waking moment to these sorts of events.

Understand, yes - accept... NEVER!
Just kidding. I think you did a bang up job with the ACBAs. I think the only issue really on the judging side that I was aware of, was the time line. Though if I'm not mistaken, you probably knew that before the day even started and was out of your control.

I can make the meeting on the 19th. I'm not sure if I can commit to any kind of leading role, depending on the timeline, but I'll do what I can.

Absolutely! It is time for some of the rest to take some of the load and let you be a judge or whatever roll you choose.
I am concerned with;
Advice is what we need, budgeting etc.
Scope, only certain categories, Limited entres etc. as to not be overwhelmed.
Venue, Hotel, church hall, school etc.
Storage and logistics.

I think the best time of year to do it would be in July or Aug. Can bring the left overs to hoptoberfest.

I think realistically the thread title should probably be changed to 2015.
I'm up for a significant role in this.

I think 2015 is wise as well. Though a hard deadline should be set at some point soon, otherwise the damn thing will never happen. Probably something that can be established when meeting up to discuss.
