Tasting..
For those who can't get enough of beer tasting (let's face it...all of us) a few of us are having a beer tasting on Friday. Anyone interested PM me, chalmers, or XmonikerX for details. I'm just gonna copy and paste chalmers post about it from BeerAdvocate here:

Halifax BA Tasting - Friday Jan. 28
Hello again Halifax (and environs) BAs!
After the success of our first two BA evenings, we are going ahead with another one next Friday, Jan. 28, at 7pm.
It will be held on the peninsula, please BM Moniker for the exact location details.
For those interested, we have shared several commercial beers from near and far, recent and aged, as well as a few homebrews. We are aiming for the same again, with each person bring a bomber or two (or equivalent) that are a bit special. Whether it be something you picked up while away, an aged Barleywine, or your favourite homebrew, all are welcome. And in the spirit of avoiding too many repeats, feel free to post the style of beer you'll be bringing, but preferably not the exact beer (for a bit of a surprise).
I'll bring along a Belgian IPA and a Rye IPA.
See you Friday!

Re: Tasting..
Just got in the city tonight, and I don't think I'll be able to make this one. Just too short of notice for me. But keep posting them, I'll make one yet!
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

For those of you who enjoyed the Schoolhouse porter here's a shot of the brewery. (I wish I kept the bottle. Dave do you still have it?)

I've got it at home, I'm pretty sure. Label intact. Would you like it back?

If you don't mind. That was a pretty out of the way small brewery that I doubt I'll ever be back to. I'd like it for my bottle collection.
