Anyone planning on heading down?
I'm considering, depending on what ends up on tap vs the weather and getting soaked during the walk....

Fathom IPA infused with concentrated cold-brewed coffee from Just Us! Coffee Roasters.

Head Barista Liz Bishop, has been roasting small custom test batches of beans specifically for fortifying Fathom IPA so help me out with this series. Once we're satisfied it's as good as can be, it'll move from weekly firkins to the taps.

PS: I've made some pretty big changes to this most recently tapped batch of Fathom so give it a go straight up!

WHY DO I LIVE IN THE VALLEY!? :( (actually I love it here, but I would like to have this firkin beer)

Last week's firkin avec coffee was awesome, and I can't stop thinking about it/wanting more, so it super sucks that I can't come tonight. However, the fact that it'll be on tap shortly is excellent news. :)

Can we get some info on the cold-brewed methods used?

Also, did you just dump in the cold brew into the firkin with the beer, or is there a more complicated 'infusing' process? 8-)

I'm sure the infinite combinations of coffee brewing parameters (bean/water ratio, steep time, etc, etc) and cold-brew to beer volume ratios mean honing in on a 'great' coffee infused brew has gotta be tricky. I'm sort of just looking for a starting point to start experimenting myself. I've always liked the idea of a strongly concentrated cold-brew just 'poured into' various beers right outta the tap.

Curious to see said pictures of this cask beer btw..

That gives me an idea. There's some good looking single women up here who like beer. Some good food up here too, in the beautiful Annapolis valley, away from the rat race.

Clearly, everyone was stunned by it!

It was decent but no show stopper. It will be epic with the right roast and extraction method. We'll keep at 'er.

So this Wednesday Jim Meek of Kissiwippi brewing in Ottawa will be there to sample a few and begin a Halifax beer tour that ends at Stillwell. All welcome to make it a crawl.

Citra Dryhopped APA. I am assuming it's the APA from upstairs. My fave beer in the city at the moment.
