Do a tremendous amount of American hops count as fruit?

There's going to be some downtime between the barrel filling and the mid afternoon start at Kyle's. The RB needs to guinea pig the randall. Is anybody interested in filling in a few hours there with a randallized beer before heading to Kyle's? Let me know asap if anybody is interested.

Ok, I'm heading over from Cole Harbour around 4:00-4:30, does anybody need a ride? I can take three people, although I don't know how you transport kegs. I assume they stay upright, maybe behind the backseat on the floor? You may be cramped, I don't have a big car.
Also, I'm bringing some of my spiced blueberry barleywine from 2005. It's not very good, and I didn't even think of it when I first went through my inventory to look for fruit beers. It's the first and last time I used a recipe from the internet. So, you've been warned. I'll bring a bag of ice too.

Sounds fun! I'm in. Might drop out to the barrel filling just for the social aspect (not contributing beer), depending on what I'm up to in the morning.mr x wrote:There's going to be some downtime between the barrel filling and the mid afternoon start at Kyle's. It looks like the randall won't happen, as there isn't enough interest for this weekend. We'll save it for another.

H&T has offered us ice again, but we need to get it between 9:30 and 10:00 (they'll be gearing up for a very busy day because of the weather and tall ships). Given the heat lately, we'll really need the ice this time. Despite my pleas, no one has offered to help with this. You can't all be going to the barrel filling in the morning. Even if you are you could help by dropping off a cooler at my place the night before.mr x wrote:Start cracking the whip if you want to get it on.

Sorry K, I'll be diving, and then filling a barrel. And I am flying into the province late Friday. Sorry I haven't been more helpful.

Would the pickup be between 9:30 and 10:00 Friday night or Saturday morning? If it's Friday night I'm out, but if it's Saturday morning I'll do it.

I have an ice machine with a full bin. Those of you who are coming for the barrel filling can bring containers and fill up. I have 200 pounds or so...know1 wrote:I can drop a cooler off in the backyard friday morning.KMcK wrote:H&T has offered us ice again, but we need to get it between 9:30 and 10:00 (they'll be gearing up for a very busy day because of the weather and tall ships). Awesome! You've saved the day. Everyone who offered to drop off a cooler, take it to Nick's place instead and fill it there.Keggermeister wrote:I have an ice machine with a full bin. Those of you who are coming for the barrel filling can bring containers and fill up. I have 200 pounds or so...

I'll take a cooler to Nick's. Do you mind if I drop that off with my kegs/CO2 gear after the barrel filling? And perhaps leave a few things there overnight to pick up Sunday? I can drive the stuff over but after that I'm on foot

Plan to drop out to Nick's and will bring a cooler for ice as well. I think we'll be in good shape for ice.
BOOO on the no Randall.. how much interest do we need? I'm sure folks will head down after the barrel filling, that should be enough interest no?
