Another great Hoptoberfest. Thanks Rob and Shelley for hosting again. Thanks everybody who made/brought food - all fantastic. I get as excited about the food for this party as I do for the beer every year. And the beer - best year yet. There was not a single homebrew there that I wouldn't buy if I could get it commercially. Special mention to BBrianBoogie's Orval inspired Belgian Ale - that was fantastic!

It was my first event and I was very impressed. Amazing food and beer all night!
Sorry I didn't make it in to pick up my canopy Rob. I can swing past and grab it anytime this week, or on the weekend if thats better for you.

Sorry I missed it.

Other standouts: the Bacon Porter and the Pineapple IPA - all the beer was excellent, but these 2 stand out in my memory because I tasted nothing else like them. I don't even like pineapple and I went back and topped up my glass.

yeah, that belgian ale was damn tasty. only problem is that it took 2 years to get that good, if i brewed something that tasty i wouldn't want to have to wait that long.

Thanks X, good times!

Here's a few random pics. I don't think I have the settings on my little p&s camera figured out plus I don;t think the smoke and rain helped either but oh well.

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

Thanks Rob and Shelly for hosting. As a relative newcomer this was a GREAT introduction to the group. It is nice to meet so many people who take such pride in their beer and their food and so much attention to detail. Grinding the lamb meat to make the lamb burgers...now that is serious about quality! I have never tasted so many great beers in one place. You guys put the Seaport Beer Fest to shame. The Maine Beers I brought were not much a hit when put along side your brews.

Looking forward to getting out to more events and partnering with CartoonCod to make a brew. Maybe I will catch the bug and convert some space to making my own brew by next Hoptoberfest.

Cheers.
Earl

Tap wall is definitely awesome... I especially like how they're high enough that you can easily get your mouth under the spout :spilly:

Surely, X's neighbor won't mind us drilling holes in the fence and storing 10+ kegs and co2 in their yard...
