Heck, if there was a decent bus from Timberlea to Spry I'd take that! Terrible bus route service to Timberlea..

do it man! maybe grab a headlight from mec? the bike from spryfield to your place would be a breeze, you dont have to do the big hill from the rotary in either direction (you can turn off st marg's bay rd and take northwest arm drive)
planning: beer for my cousin's wedding
Fermenting: black ipa
Conditioning:
Kegged: barrel barleywine from 2014 - i think i still have this somewhere

Railto Trail may be an easier route.

Agreed, and I actually already have a headlight. I'm planning on it at this point, I'll just plan to get to work a 'little' bit later tomorrow. Chalmers, can I shower at your place.. it is going to be hot! :moon: Kidding! I'll be fine, ha.

The rotary is the best part of biking in Halifax. The rest of you are doing it wrong.
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

Yeah totally!! if you bike down quinpool towards the rotary you can potentially hit 75km/hr at the bend, if the wind is low or in your favour!! :headbang:

Thanks to Chris for hosting. Good times trying to remember peoples' names and then meeting new people on top of that. Also, thanks to LiverdDance for the constructive criticism on the two beers I brought. Re-reading some Palmer right now.

Thanks Chris! It was a good time - although the bum's partying in the bushes Kyle led us to were pretty neat too.

Thanks very much for everyone coming out. I believe the final count was 20 people. Some great homebrews and cool commercial beers. Great to see a few new faces, some old friends back again, and the regular crew. And thanks to Greg from Atlantic Canada Beer Blog for dropping by while in town.

In the past, I've found the melon head to be over melony.

Thanks for hosting Chalmers! Great turn out, weather, and beers! I'm surprised there were only 20 people, seemed like more at times.

Melon Head.. seemed to 'fruit juicy' to me but was refreshing (couldn't drink more than one).

The 21A watermelon was good - although comparing it to my own watermelon beer, I found it tasted like mine do after sitting around for a few months and the flavour starts to drop a bit. Thing is it was a fairly recent can so maybe they just don't use as much melon. Still very good though and I could drink it all day. The Melon Head is a different story - it tastes fake, like there's a jolly rancher in it. Last night it tasted exactly as I remember from other years and I've never been able to drink a full pint - I find it too sweet.
