Let's use the 21st as the firm Fruitfest date! Earlier a date is picked, more likely folks can make arrangements to attend!

Re: Summer Fruitfest
Okay, let's get this thing organized!
Saturday, July 21, mid afternoon.
My place, west end Halifax (e-mail for address and phone number if you need them). Bus routes 1, 2, 4, 5, 14, 23, 52, 58 and maybe a few others run close by and there's plenty of room for bikes in the back yard.
The theme is fruit beers but any good beer will be welcome. Bring bottles or kegs. I have CO2 with pin lock connections.
Feel free to bring a friend who would be receptive to an introduction to good beer and the club.
The barbecue will be on so bring something to cook and eat. Snacks and other communal dishes would also be appreciated.
We need some to arrange to get ice, some buckets for bottles and kegs, paper plates and cutlery, maybe some outdoor tables, extra CO2, ball lock connections... anything else? Please indicate below if you can bring any of these things. Things can be dropped off in my backyard any time during the day.
Anything else I may have forgotten?

Re: Summer Fruitfest
I can bring a twin-reg ball lock CO2 tank. I can also volunteer to drive to pick things up (ice?) before the event.

I've got a splitter somewhere that can provide gas for i think 7 or 8 ball lock kegs and can bring it if needed (and I can find it..).

Snacks would be great. Bottles are welcome too.
Jayme, please bring your ball lock connections. Ben, can you look into ice? H&T has given us plenty before, but I don't know what the chiller situation is there now.

I will contact Nash and see what he says. They're supposed to have the chiller back on line early next week.KMcK wrote:Snacks would be great. Bottles are welcome too.

I would think the ice machine is separate from the glycol chiller, but I could be wrong.

Re: Summer Fruitfest
Wait a second. I have tickets to the Hey Rosetta show on George's Island. It's in the afternoon, so I'll be there in the evening, if at all. That means I can't volunteer for staples such as ice. Sorry guys, my brain hasn't been firing on all cylinders this week.

One week to go! Who else is coming? Any more volunteers to get stuff? If the weather stays this hot the ice will be crucial.

I'll probably be there, if I do I'll bring a keg of something. Unsure if I can promise doing any running around for ice beforehand, I'll just be in from Newfoundland.

The idea is to bring your own main dish to eat (something to barbecue perhaps), but snacks, side dishes, dessert, etc. can be to share.TimG wrote:I'll be there! Plan to bring a Saison with me and something to eat (snacks only or are we having a meal?)
