I'm good for the 5th or 12th, after that I'm basically out for May. We can have it at my place (Timberlea, garage with 240V for electric if desired) if folks don't mind the trek out of town. If more folks would rather the long weekend I'm cool with that. One of those 'what works for most' sort of things I guess.

5th is close but do we need to do that much planning? Pot luck it up for food, bring some lagers, rejoice! :headbang: :bbq: :smoker:

I'm cool with that. Maybe we should do burgers again, lamb, beef, salmon, pork, whatever...? Got a BBQ?

You're cool with the 5th you mean?

I have a propane grill and a cheap smoker.

I wouldn't have a problem smoking another eye of round and making some sandwiches. I got a big one on sale a few weeks ago. Maybe somebody else could do a pork butt (bring their smoker to my place and start it up early or just make at home and bring)? Then all we need a wack of buns and some sides (can spread sides around easily enough with folks the week before the 'event'.

I should be able to make it. My pilsner may still be a kellerbier at that point but I'll bring along a sample anyway.

So, have we decided on May 5th?
Does anyone want to brew at TimG's, and/or brew as a group before hand, so this can be an AHA Homebrew Day Event?

Yeah I'll get in on a group brew! I've quit brewing until we move and I'm going through withdrawal.

Won't be able to make it on the 5th, just found out I was previously booked.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Group brew (or multiple brews) sounds like fun. I have a garage so dropping off gear beforehand, storing until the next day or whatever is easy enough. I also have a fermentation chamber that can fit 2 batches (can't lager.. can only heat). I wouldn't mind helping/splitting ingredients with somebody for a double batch if we use their equipment. I can only do 5-6 gallon batches in my keg & BIAB.

We can start this up bright and early if folks want to brew early, run their carboy/bucket home and come back for the festivities as well.
