Yay! :spilly:

I can't make it - we bought tickets to Touchdown Atlantic back in the spring. Once I found out they were both on the same day, I was promised that we'd make every possible effort to make a few more monthly meetings. Oh, then there is the whole selling the house, packing and moving thing going on...

mgc wrote:I would like to go, my girl might come with me. She is veggie, and slightly shy, so it a hard sell to bring her to a BBQ with strangers. She is currently on the fence. I don't think I will have any kegs worth bringing ready by then, but if I do I will bring them. If not I'll happily pay. As for food, are deserts covered? It's almost pie season. I can cook anything/bring anything if people have other ideas.
No worries if you can't bring a keg, there's going to be WAY more than enough beer there that's for sure! A few bottles are always good too, store-bought or brewed, if you have anything stashed away that you want to bring. Pies or most anything like that would be a great addition to the food too, in fact you could bring that stuff uncooked and we'll throw them into the charcoal cooker after the corn comes out, fire roasted pie... mmmm

Oh and bring the better half too. She can always stretch out behind the shed if she's feeling anti-social  Seriously, she'll feel very comfortable amongst the crew. Plus there'll be lots of ladies there, heck I'm bringing at least a 1/2 dozen with me :spilly:

9 acres on Tyndal Road, conditional that we sell our house. We have an offer on our house already, but its conditional that they sell theirs...
wild blueberries, raspberries, grapes, apple trees and a whole lot of space to plant more hops.

I'm likely in, though I'm leaving for Belgium the next day so we'll see.

LOL. I'm with you - I'm still in love with meat, but I've been known to choose a portobello burger over meat before...

We should start planning what we can drum up for ice. It will be far better to have too much than too little, as warm draft pours real bad.

I'll probably do the rolling garbage bin for two kegs from thumb taps, and will take care of the cooling for that myself. Or if anyone has an inside line on a McD's or DQ that gives it out, let us know.
Also, I seem to remember John G hooking us up with ice from the Bedford Highway.

Yes, I remember that now. Haven't heard from John in a while. H&T may be able to help as well.

Just a thought: would it be worthwhile getting in touch with a nearby hockey arena or curling club? They've often have a lot of snow/ice on hand after dumping their zambonis/ice machines.

I used to grab free ice from Mcdonalds and BK a few times a year. Just talk to the manager and say it is for a sports team. Drinking beer is a sport, right?!
I'd do it, but have nothing to put it in.

I may have a problem with work. Someone is sick, and I'm not sure shat is going to happen if they aren't back. Can people swing the Sunday?

Well, we weren't the first year, lol. The other option is to move the location and keep it for Saturday - maybe your place again? I'll know for sure tomorrow and let everyone know what's up.

Sunday is fine for me. My boss needed to switch around an off-day so I ended up getting Monday off. So Monday is free for sleeping in and/or vomiting!

If it gets changed to Sunday, I may be able to attend (I can't currently). If so, I should keg my Mighty Zeus IIPA & bring it (which would be my first time kegging).

Damn, I'm liking the possibility of more BNer's being able to attend if it was on Sunday, but I really hate changing things at the last minute. I know that fucks with people who made plans long ago for Saturday, and may be worse for overall attendance. Plus, Monday is a work day for many. Sigh, I guess we'll go with Saturday for now, and I'll see what shakes down tomorrow as to my ability to get Saturday off.

I will be ok either day. As for the vomit on Monday, Mason is helping me gag every day lately. A little more won't change anything.
